![]() ![]() To put this to the test, I have been able to run models in the Viewer Web Application on an old Chromebook (Celeron Processor, 2GB RAM), a mediocre phone from 3 years ago and even an old Galaxy Tab. It is very accessible, easy to use and has no hardware requirements beyond the capacity for your device to be able to open a modern web browser and connect to the Internet. The best free Revit Model tool at the moment is the Autodesk Viewer Web Application. As you can imagine, there are a huge number of potential options for viewing and reviewing Revit files However with the climate the way it is, with users not necessarily having modern hardware to hand, I have only been recommending one tool for reviewing Revit Files that is free. This certainly limits the usefulness of Markups in an active Revit project.The need to work from home in recent months has led to a huge spike in questions directed towards me, specifically what software I use for reviewing Revit Models when I do not have access to my main tower. Delete the old files added and upload new ones when changed. There does not seem to be versioning in this Web app. Again, I don’t see a way to select an element and see its properties. In 3D, there is a Model browser button and some properties show up when clicked. There doesn’t seem to be a way to select elements and see their properties in this Web app. ![]() I recommend Greenshot to take screenshots. ![]() There is an Export button but it only seems to make a PDF of Markups and Comments of those made under my current username.Īs a workaround, I’d just take screenshots and put them in a Google Doc or something. There is a Resolved checkbox which filters what markups and comments appear. With the Comments button on, a continual screenshot is shown on the right. ![]() The app also sends an email when others make a markup. Reload the viewer to see other’s markups.
